 **About the Position** 

The IT intern will assist the network security and infrastructure team in maintaining and securing the company’s network and IT infrastructure. The intern will gain hands-on experience in network security practices, infrastructure management, and support.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Monitor network traffic and analyze security alerts.
-   Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
-   Assist in implementing and managing security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus).
-   Support incident response activities, including investigation and documentation.
-   Help maintain and update security policies and procedures.
-   Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network devices.
-   Support server environment management, including installation and troubleshooting.
-   Participate in regular backup and recovery processes.
-   Provide end-user support for network and security-related issues.
-   Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, security policies, and incident reports

## Requirements

-   A Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Candidates pursuing relevant coursework or certifications may also be considered.
-   Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
-   Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux).
-   Knowledge of network security principles.
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-   Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
-   Experience with security tools.
-   Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network and security issues.
-   Understanding of virtualized environments.
-   Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced IT environment.

 **Location and Duration**

The successful interns will be based at **WorldFish Headquarters in Penang, Malaysia**. The internship will run for a duration of up to 5½ months. This opportunity is open exclusively to Malaysian applicants. Interviews are expected to take place as soon as possible and only shortlisted candidates will be notified and invited to attend.
