### Financial Controller (Remote Contractor)

### The Opportunity

WPT Global is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support the finance operations of a fast-growing international online business.

This is a fully remote contractor opportunity suited to a commercially minded finance professional with strong international experience and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, and forecasting activities
-   Develop and improve financial controls, reporting processes, and operational procedures
-   Support strategic financial planning and performance analysis
-   Prepare monthly management reporting and financial insights for senior stakeholders
-   Monitor financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate controls
-   Coordinate external audits and liaise with external accounting and advisory partners
-   Support KPI reporting, cash flow forecasting, and business performance tracking
-   Ensure compliance with applicable financial standards and internal governance requirements
-   Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across international teams

### Requirements

-   Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
-   Proven experience operating in a senior finance, controllership, or financial leadership role
-   Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management
-   Experience improving finance processes, controls, and operational reporting
-   Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities
-   Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
-   Advanced proficiency with accounting systems, spreadsheets, and financial analysis tools
-   Professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent is advantageous

### Preferred Experience

-   Experience working within fast-paced international businesses
-   Experience supporting remote or distributed global teams
-   Exposure to digital, technology, fintech, entertainment, or online platform businesses is beneficial
