## Description

The ACE Engagement Specialist supports the Advanced Manufacturing division by promoting ACE training opportunities, WSU Tech manufacturing programs, and careers in manufacturing. This position serves as a connection point for students, trainees, schools, community organizations, industry partners, and WSU Tech teams, helping individuals understand available training and educational pathways.

The ACE Engagement Specialist will participate in outreach activities, presentations, events, and workshops while supporting ACE program administration, tracking student interest, and helping students and trainees transition into additional education or employment opportunities.

**This is a grant-funded position.**

**Pay:** $23.01 per hour

Essential Functions

-   Provide information about ACE training, manufacturing careers, and WSU Tech programs to students, trainees, schools, industry partners, and members of the community.
-   Coordinate with the ACE team and Career Pathways Advising team regarding ACE and manufacturing opportunities.
-   Promote ACE training through schools, local events, educational and community activities, trade shows, workshops, and other outreach opportunities.
-   Present ACE's mission, training opportunities, WSU Tech programs, and manufacturing career pathways to incoming students and trainees.
-   Promote ACE, WSU Tech, and manufacturing programs through effective use of communication and outreach tools.
-   Support administrative needs related to ACE reporting and hub/spoke activities.
-   Track student interest and participation in ACE activities.
-   Serve as a liaison between Academic Advisors, faculty, Career Pathway Advisors, and students to encourage transitions from ACE training into further education or occupational opportunities.
-   Maintain current knowledge of WSU Tech, NCAT, manufacturing programs, and manufacturing career opportunities.
-   Speak effectively to groups of varying ages and conduct campus tours as needed.
-   Participate in professional development activities, including 20 hours of professional development.
-   Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as WSU Tech policies and procedures.
-   Protect confidential student, employee, and organizational information.
-   Perform other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.

## Requirements

Required Qualifications

-   High school diploma or equivalent.
-   Bachelor's degree preferred; a combination of education, training, and related experience may be considered.
-   Previous experience in machining or manufacturing preferred.
-   Previous experience in PK-12 education, college admissions, or admissions is a plus.
-   Must complete ACE CNC and Metrology training within three months of employment.

-   Strong math, spelling, computer, and calculator skills.
-   Ability to communicate professionally, calmly, and courteously with students, employees, and the general public.
