## Description

**The Company:**

A port operator is expanding the team and is looking for **System Admin Engineers**.

**The Role:**

You will be responsible for the following as a **System Admin Engineer**:

-   Configure and maintain the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
-   Ensure data is stored securely and backed up regularly.
-   Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
-   Install and configure software, hardware and networks.
-   Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
-   Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
-   Upgrade, install, and configure application software and computer hardware.
-   Troubleshoot and provide technical support.
-   Create and manage system permissions.
-   Use ServiceNow to keep track of tasks.

## Requirements

-   Familiar with:

\-Operating Systems such as Solaris, Linux and Windows Servers.

\- Hypervisor such as VMware, Vxrail, Nutanix, Microsoft.

\- Middleware such as OpenSSL & Apache

\- Other software components such as Microsoft's, IBM WebSphere and CA Siteminder.

-   Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.

-   Willing to travel to various data centres when required.
-   Provide support after office hours.
