**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to safeguard our digital ecosystem, infrastructure, and financial applications. The ideal candidate will act as a key defender of the bank’s assets, driving threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security architecture validation. Operating within our digital transformation framework, the Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will ensure that our advancing technology stacks remain resilient, secure, and fully aligned with global financial security standards.

### Key Responsibilities:

-   **Threat Detection & Incident Response:** Monitor, analyze, and mitigate security alerts and incidents across enterprise environments. Collaborate closely with the SOC team to optimize SIEM playbooks and response protocols.
-   **Vulnerability & Risk Management:** Lead regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate internal/external penetration testing across banking systems. Prioritize and oversee remediation efforts with infrastructure and development teams.
-   **Security Control Implementation:** Design, deploy, and maintain robust security controls, including EDR/MDR solutions, Next-Gen Firewalls, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems.
-   **Secure Architecture Collaboration:** Partner with the data and infrastructure teams to ensure secure-by-design principles are applied to the bank's new data architecture, cloud deployments, and API integrations.
-   **Regulatory & Compliance Alignment:** Maintain continuous audit-readiness and ensure all security practices strictly align with **Central Bank of Egypt (CBE)** regulations, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and local data privacy laws.
-   **Security Awareness & Culture:** Conduct security risk assessments on third-party vendors and financial technology tools, and champion security best practices across internal departments.

## Requirements

-   **Experience:** 5–8+ years of proven experience in Cybersecurity engineering, with a strong preference for candidates coming out of the Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services sectors.
-   **Technical Toolset:** Hands-on proficiency with enterprise security tools such as SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar), Vulnerability Scanners (Nessus, Qualys), Next-Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and modern EDR/MDR solutions.
-   **Core Cybersecurity Foundations:** Deep understanding of network protocols, cryptography, secure architecture, cloud security principles, and the active threat landscape facing financial institutions.
-   **Regulatory Acumen:** Solid knowledge of banking security compliance requirements, framework implementations (NIST, ISO 27001), and financial audit standards.
-   **Soft Skills:** Exceptional incident-handling composure, sharp analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to articulate complex security risks to non-technical stakeholders.

### Preferred Qualifications:

-   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related technical field.
-   Professional certifications: **CISSP**, **CEH**, **CISM**, **CompTIA Security+**, or equivalent GIAC certifications are highly valued.
-   Familiarity with secure software development life cycles (DevSecOps) and automated security testing.
