As a **Security Operations Engineer,** you will play a key role in ensuring internet-facing applications remain secure, available, and continuously monitored through enterprise-grade web monitoring and security platforms.

Working alongside cybersecurity specialists, infrastructure engineers, and application teams, you will support the operation of multiple SaaS-based security platforms, helping organisations detect website integrity issues, investigate security alerts, improve monitoring accuracy, and streamline operational processes through automation. ### **Responsibilities**

-   Configure, administer, and maintain enterprise web monitoring and security platforms to ensure reliable monitoring of internet-facing applications.
-   Support the onboarding of websites, domains, subdomains, and digital services into monitoring platforms.
-   Monitor website availability, integrity, and security events, investigating alerts, false positives, and monitoring anomalies to ensure timely resolution.
-   Troubleshoot platform issues involving monitoring configurations, system integrations, APIs, authentication mechanisms, and operational workflows.
-   Develop and maintain automation scripts and API integrations to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
-   Perform platform health checks, monitoring optimisation, and configuration tuning to improve detection accuracy and service reliability.
-   Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and vendor teams to resolve operational issues and enhance monitoring effectiveness.
-   Produce and maintain technical documentation, including operational procedures, onboarding guides, troubleshooting documentation, and standard operating procedures.
-   Participate in operational support activities, including responding to production incidents, monitoring alerts, and user support requests when required.
-   Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen platform resilience, operational processes, and service quality.

## Requirements

-   Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
-   At least 2 years of experience in security operations, platform operations, cloud operations, infrastructure operations, or application support.
-   Good understanding of web technologies, including HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS, web servers, and internet-facing applications.
-   Experience supporting SaaS or enterprise platforms in a production environment.
-   Experience troubleshooting REST APIs, webhooks, authentication mechanisms, and system integrations.
-   Familiarity with scripting using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages to automate operational tasks.
-   Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

### Preferred

-   Experience with website monitoring, application monitoring, security monitoring, or similar operational platforms.
-   Exposure to SIEM solutions, ITSM platforms, or security operations workflows.
-   Basic knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
-   Familiarity with common web security concepts such as the OWASP Top 10.
-   Experience integrating enterprise platforms through REST APIs or automation workflows.

### Certifications (Advantageous)

-   CompTIA Security+
-   ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
-   ITIL 4 Foundation
-   AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
