Job Description: General Manager, Hong Kong
**We are looking for a General Manager, Hong Kong to spearhead YouTrip's entry and growth in the Hong Kong market, owning the full P&L, strategy and execution of YouTrip in Hong Kong.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of YouTrip, this will be an exciting and rare opportunity for candidates with strong entrepreneurial spirit to work closely with the C-Suite & Leadership team to explore, launch, and grow our business in Hong Kong. This role is pivotal in shaping YouTrip's presence in a new market — from conducting foundational market research and navigating the licensing landscape, to building a high-performing local team and driving commercial growth.

**You Will**

- Research and explore the regulatory regime and licensing partner landscape in Hong Kong; Engage relevant regulators and authorities, or licensing partner in the market, to identify pathway for market entry
- Explore and evaluate market opportunities and the competitive landscape in Hong Kong
- Lead and own the business growth and P&L of Hong Kong, through ownership of the strategic roadmap for the business
- Own the product roadmap for Hong Kong together with Product & Engineering, identifying big bets and localisation opportunities specific to the Hong Kong market
- Drive business growth by leading bespoke marketing campaigns and striking marquee partnership deals tailored to the Hong Kong market
- Develop a deep understanding of the Hong Kong fintech landscape and continually identify new opportunities for growth
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing local leadership team in Hong Kong
- Identify and drive cross-functional and cross-country initiatives for business growth

## Requirements

**You Are**

- Entrepreneurial Self-starter & Hustler - You are not afraid to get your hands dirty with a "whatever it takes" mindset and no job is too little for you. You strive for the best in everything you do, and understand the importance to influence your team to do the same to push for performance in a high paced environment
- Experienced Commercial Leader - You have at least 10 years of senior team leadership roles in a fast-paced environment, and proven track record in multiplying business revenues. Experience in Consumer Products and/or Marketing in Hong Kong are preferred. Experience in Fintech or Financial Institutions space (B2C and/or B2B) will be a strong plus
- Market entry expertise -  Hands-on experience leading a market entry — structuring and running the research, synthesising competitive intelligence, and turning it into a go-to-market strategy someone can actually execute. Having launched a product or business in Hong Kong is a strong advantage.
- Regulatory fluency - Working knowledge of Hong Kong's financial services regulatory environment, including HKMA licensing frameworks such as the Stored Value Facility (SVF) licence. You're comfortable in front of a regulator, you've handled licensing submissions before, and you can work with legal and compliance without being managed through it.
- Hong Kong instincts - You don't need a research background, but you need real fluency in how Hong Kong consumers behave, ideally from having lived and worked there, and the judgement to know when an insight should change our product or our go-to-market.
- Travel and Payment Enthusiast - Nothing is more important than being passionate about the industry that we will be about to build together! Look forward to hearing your travel stories!
