**Salary:** EUR 40,000–57,000

**Workplace:** hybrid

**Department:** IT

## Description

If you have an international start‑up mindset and enjoy an environment that values initiative, discipline in execution, teamwork, and inventiveness, this highly hands‑on role offers a strong career trajectory as Zadient accelerates its growth.

The **Documentation Leader** role is created to establish the foundations of knowledge management at Zadient.

This role directly supports a CEO-level objective: centralize all technical documentation, make it collaborative, ensure everything is stored within Zadient’s own systems, and keep it secure. The initial mission is to identify, centralize, organize and secure technical documentation across the company while improving collaboration and accessibility.

The technical content remains the responsibility of the relevant departments. The role focuses on **documentation structure, ownership, governance, accessibility and adoption.**

### Key Responsibilities

### Documentation Inventory & Assessment

- Identify all existing repositories containing technical documentation across the company.

- Build a comprehensive inventory of documentation sources including R&D reports, experimental runs, equipment documentation, etc.

- Assess risks related to missing, duplicated or poorly managed information

- Identify priority actions and quick wins.

### Knowledge capture

- Extract tacit engineering know-how from R&D, process engineering, and pilot run operations. Whereas the content of the scientific knowledge remains the ownership of the R&D staff, the role ensures that all technical elements fostering the collective competency of the R&D team are documented.

- Structure and maintain the company’s central technical documentation base.

- Participate in lessons-learned sessions after key experiments, incidents, and project milestones. Guide and support scientists and engineers in documentation.

- Create and maintain templates, standards, and documentation frameworks for usage of scientists and engineers.

- Support teams in consolidating existing documentation into company-approved repositories.

- Ensure that historical technical knowledge is preserved and accessible.

### Knowledge Governance & Information Architecture

- Define and maintain the company knowledge taxonomy, metadata standards and document classification model

- Establish documentation lifecycle processes

- Ensure technical knowledge remains searchable, traceable and reusable across the organization.

- Monitor documentation quality and completeness through appropriate KPIs and reporting

### Compliance

- Ensure the documentation structure properly addresses operational regulatory obligations.

- Be the reference for document readiness and accessibility for external audits and certifications (ISO, HAZOP, ICPE, ATEX).

- In cooperation with IT, contribute to the selection, implementation and continuous improvement of knowledge management and documentation platforms (SharePoint, PLM, DMS, Wiki, Version Control Systems).

- Act as the functional owner of knowledge repositories and documentation structures.

- Guide users in document classification, metadata management, access rights and versioning standards in coordination with IT, ensuring each document is stored with the appropriate level of access for its sensitivity.

- Promote adoption and best practices for documentation and collaboration tools.

### Cross-functional Collaboration

- Facilitate knowledge transfer between R&D and industrialization teams.

- Contribute to R&D project governance: documentation discipline, decision traceability, and follow-up.

- Develop onboarding materials that get new engineers up to speed quickly.

- Contribute to future initiatives involving enterprise search and AI-enabled knowledge retrieval solutions.

### Key Deliverables (3-6 months)

- A complete inventory of technical documentation repositories, including equipment-related documentation currently held by external suppliers.

- An assessment of documentation risks and improvement opportunities.

- A proposed documentation architecture and classification model.

- Consolidation of priority documentation into approved repositories — including documentation currently shared informally or stored on personal drives.

- Documentation standards, templates and user guidelines.

- A roadmap for the next phase of knowledge management development.

### Working relationships

Reporting: to the IT Director

Internal: You work in close collaboration with R&D scientists and engineers (knowledge capture), Operations and industrialization (process documentation), Quality (audit readiness), and IT (platforms, governance, security, access management and AI initiatives).

External: interactions include certification and audit bodies (ISO, ICPE, ATEX, HAZOP) as needed.

## Requirements

- Bac+5 in a relevant field (engineering, information management, data management, or equivalent). An engineering background is a strong plus but not a strict requirement — what matters most is the ability to work credibly with R&D and engineering teams.

- 3–8 years of experience in technical documentation, knowledge management, engineering support, quality systems, or technical industrial environments.

- Genuine ease working with technical and scientific profiles: able to understand enough of what they do to ask the right questions, organize their documentation, and earn their trust — without needing to challenge or validate the technical content itself.

- Knowledge of technical documentation frameworks and quality standards.

- Ability to enforce structure without creating friction.

- Excellent written and spoken communication in both English and French.

### Nice to Have

- Experience with SharePoint Online, M365, PLM, DMS or Wiki platforms (Confluence, Teamcenter or similar).

- Familiarity with SiC, power electronics, or semiconductor manufacturing.

- Experience defining taxonomies, metadata models and document governance processes.

- Exposure to AI-assisted knowledge management, enterprise search or knowledge retrieval systems.

- Understanding of information governance, access rights management (IAM principles) and data lifecycle management.
- Good written and spoken communication in German

## Benefits

- Competitive salary (€40k–57k) depending on experience.
- Flexible working conditions (partial remote possible)
- Early involvement in an exciting project, with strong growth potential as the company scales.
- Innovative and international industrial environment.
- Opportunity to shape a function from day one — with real authority and direct access to the leadership team
- A work environment that values autonomy, encourages entrepreneurial thinking and empowers you to take full ownership of your projects.
